ZombiU on Xbox 360? Ubisoft teases

ZombiU, Ubisoft's new Wii U zombie shooter, might be ported to Xbox 360, thanks to the wonders of Xbox SmartGlass.

ZombiU design director Gabrielle Shrager revealed the possibility, saying that Wii U's GamePad controller has showcased what the game can do on such a platform, meaning a porting to Xbox SmartGlass is certainly a possibility.

“We’ve heard lots of second-screen talk,” said Mr Shrager. “There’s always what Microsoft’s doing with SmartGlass. So it’s not a development issue to build it for other consoles but the heart of the concept wouldn’t be the same if you didn’t have this notion of twice the screens, twice the fear.”

Guillaume Brunier from Ubisoft Montpellier chimed in, saying that, while bringing the game to a new console would changed the experience, "with the SmartGlass tablet, we’re not necessarily married to Nintendo.”

See i think this is stupid your making it for the wiiu but your shitting yourself that people wont buy it,, its anew console it well sell no matter what. Because it well be one of the first games on a new console, i hate that there so scared there already backstabbing Nintendo it don't matter anyway cus when Nintendo unleash the krakons on wiiu they wont need gameS like this but just wish Ubi was bit more loyal or just kept this kind of info to themselves MEH!! =_=

Tablets don't have control sticks, a D-PAD and all the other cool stuff. They have one big ass screen so hmmmmm this game if ported, well be seriously ****ing limited. Ha ha how would you move switch back to controller then tablet. C-mon just stop it ubi lol i think there scared that Xbox and ps3 fanboys may lose abit of respect for them lol sad times. [MOG]

I think what's most interesting is the comments related directly to Nintendo.

I think that if we see a "ZombiX" version it will certainly hurt Wii U's appeal, at least if it's released shortly after. If we're talking about a year or so after, I have no issue.

I assume that Wii U will get a few third-party exclusives early on before they eventually move on to 360, PS3, just like we saw with 360 and Bioshock, Mass Effect, Saints Row etc.

Looks nothing more than your average run-of-the-mill zombie shooter. I can't see a 360 version being that successful, especially if it is being released after the Wii U version.

Basically exactly what Pilky said.

I'd get it on the 360 if it were to release, but it's got a market on the WiiU because people will be snapping up games like this even if just for curiosity of a "hardcore" game on the new console. 360 has a huge market of zombie shooters already.
