The Witcher 3 could include a new multiplayer mode, if a job listing posted by developer CD Projekt RED on their website is anything to go by.
Projekt RED revealed that they are hiring for a "Multiplayer Programmer" for its upcoming "RPG in a dark fantasy world".
"CD Projekt RED is looking for an experienced multiplayer programmer to work in our core team," states the job ad. "Your main responsibility will be to prepare our engine for challenges of upcoming online component of our future games. You will lead our studio through necessary steps to adapt to the new tasks and different way of thinking where necessary."
The ad also says that "experience with physics in [a] multiplayer environment" would come in handy, and that the job will be for titles to ship on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Whether this job listing pertains to a third Witcher title, their project based on Cyberpunk, or a completely new dark fantasy RPG is left to speculation.
