Rockstar refutes GTA V 'conspiracy theories'

Rockstar has denied the "conspiracy theories" surrounding Grand Theft Auto V's delay, saying the extra four months are needed to finish development.

"To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they're all nonsense - literally the only reason we've delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be," said a Rockstar statement.

"For those of you asking about the official box art, that will be coming out a bit later as well."

GTA V will be released worldwide on September 17.

Why don't they announce they will make versions for the next gen.. Man the next gen may be end of this year according to rumours.. If I was buying a new ps4 or new Xbox maybe a couple of months AFTER this is released I'd want a next gen version.. I still think they are hiding this. Wait till Sony says this month then we will see what happens.

They probably have no idea. We have no official word of next gen, they are probably in the same boat as us. Why announce it will be in next gen's crop of games when next gen hasn't even been announced yet.

Also, with the history of bad ports of old gen games to the new generation, would you really want to buy GTA V on a console it wasn't developed for?

And Rockstar generally don't jump feet first into the new generation, they will likely tackle it like they did this generation with Table Tennis... make a simple game to test the water.

hmmm actually you have a point.. cant they hold it off for even longer so they can make it the best "port" im still sadface its not coming to PC :(
