There is good news for those still active in the Mass Effect multiplayer, as well as for those who found the Mass Effect multiplayer lacking depth. Bioware has launched a new multiplayer extension named 'Earth', and this is available at no cost.
While Shepherd was travelling the galaxy to find allies, the forces on earth tried slowing down the reapers' destruction of the earth. Players will take on the role of these defenders. They'll have three new weapons at their disposal: the Pirahna assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol and Typhon light machine gun.
The DLC includes six new human characters: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow and Fury. Each character has special abilities, as their names suggest. There are three new stages on Earth itself and the DLC adds a new 'platinum' difficulty to spise up the game a little bit.
The new content should be available right now on all platforms.
