Developer id Software's job listings, revealed by Kotaku a while ago, show they are working on "an unannounced game for future-generation consoles."
We already know the next title to be released by id Software is likely to be Doom 4, so it's possible the listings could be involved around their next project. In an interview with John Carmack with Gamespot back in june the following was said:
"I am working on next-generation engine technology and what we'll be doing with graphics when we start really rethinking it. It's likely that the project after Doom 4, the next major one, will be designed around being cross-generational."
The listings also mentioned that "Familiarity with id Software games, characters, brands and universes" is required, which narrows our search down to id Software's other existing franchises. Could this mean we're going to see another Rage? Another Wolfenstein? A reboot of Quake?
Let us know what you think it will be, or perhaps which game you hope to see next from id Software.
