Grid 2 is officially announced with a minute long trailer that offers a glimpse into two new locations available in the sequel.
This follows on from the
reveal a couple of days ago promising a full announcement today.
The title will build upon the handling that was used in its predecessor using the latest build of Codemasters Racing's Ego engine.
"Grid's back and we're going to make street, track and road racing exciting again," said executive producer Clive Moody.
"The core design philosophy for Grid 2 is that we treat the race as a character, not a consequence of simply putting cars on tracks. Everything that goes into the game impacts on that second-to-second, in the moment, blockbuster drama - the feel and personality of the race."
Grid 2 will also feature tracks set in the United States, Europe, and Asia and has also promised to include licensed tracks, city streets and mountain roads.
New customisations and a progression system will also be tied into their online community - RaceNet.
