Unreal Engine 4 demo to showcase 'next gen' at E3

Unreal Engine 4 will be showcased at E3 2012, Spike TV video game journalist Geoff Keighley has confirmed.

"Happy to confirm that Spike will be unveiling Unreal Engine 4 during E3! Get a glimpse at the next gen of gaming with the first real demo," Mr Keighley said on Twitter.

The engine targets the next generation of PC hardware and consoles after the seventh generation.

In February 2012, Mark Rein, the CEO of Epic, said "people are going to be shocked later this year when they see Unreal Engine 4"
