We haven't heard anything about Theif 4 for quite some time, but according to a report on Kotaku the development could be in a spot of bother.
Several key members of the development team at Eidos Montreal have left, including audio director Paul Weir, lead level designer Adam Alim, senior concept artists Dan Blomberg and Nicolas Ferrand, senior technical level designer Eugene Kuczerepa, senior animator Marie-Chantal Larocque and senior level designer Patrick Garon.
That's a whole lot of personnel who were apparently working on the game, no longer working at the studio. Along with the departures a resume revealed a CG trailer for the game that was meant for a December 2011 unveiling but was never released.
One level designer still at Eidos Montreal claims that he designed the last level of the game, so that could be some promising news. Otherwise things are looking grim from the outside.
