The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf is coming to Xbox 360 and PS3, according to a listing on two separate websites; the Danish branch of Blockbuster and Coolshop.
For anyone who may not remember, The Witcher was originally scheduled for release on consoles a few years ago but ran into trouble regarding developer CD Projekt RED's joint development with Widescreen games on the port. Unfortunately, CD Projekt were forced to abandon the port and instead focused on their hit sequel which released a little over a year ago, and which has since graced lucky Xbox 360 owners in the form of an Enhanced Edition last month and scored quite highly in MMGN's books.
Whether the listings of the original title for both PS3 and 360 means that PS3 owners may get to eventually experience The Witcher 2 on their chosen console is still unknown, but things do look more hopeful.
The listings come a day before CD Project's summer conference, so we'll know more later. This isn't the first time the first in a previously PC-exclusive series has made the jump after a successful sequel port, Crysis coming to mind, so watch this space if you're a fan of the White Wolf.
