  • Techland register new trademark - Dead World
  • Refuse to comment on sequel plans for Dead Island

Dead Island proved to be the little game that could; after less than glowing reviews from critics, the title manage to scamper up the charts and sell like hotcakes. Techland, the developer of the open-world zombie RPG have just registered a new trademark - Dead World.

The developer refused to comment on the new trademark, or any sequel plans for their zombie smash hit, but with a name like Dead World you would assume that it will be familiar gameplay, on a much larger scale.

It launched at the right time, if it launched next week it'd be a bomb.

Hope they can fix everything that was wrong with it for the sequel, could be a really good game.
They can't really possibly make it worse than the last one since the last one was just mindless fun of blowing up hordes of zombies and killing them in different ways.

The title makes sense given the open conclusion of dead island, it's very likely a sequel but where we will actually continue following the survivors from the first one is another story, it'd be interesting to see another point of view, unless the four are the only ones immune on the entire planet...
As long as it has a better launch than the first. Next time Techland finish the game before realease.....We are still waiting for our DLC aint we? Im still yet to finish it as im playing co-op with the wife. :)
