No weather, night or rally racing in Forza 3

Turn 10's community manager Che Chou has said on the official Forza forums that, unlike what has surfaced over the past few days, there will be no weather, no night racing and no rallying in Forza Motorsport 3.

"No weather, night racing, or rally in the game. That said, any car is up for grabs. Just because we haven't announced/shown it doesn't mean it won't make it into the game. We're just trickling out info.

"Painter, tuner, drag, drift scoreboards. Yes, it's all in the details. Which we haven't revealed yet," said Chou.

Forza Motorsport 3 is set for release on 360 this October.

Never excited for this game anyway (besides the smexy looking graphics). If you ask me, thats quite pathetic that they won't even at least have different weather.

Its not about racing in the rain or dirt yet, they're still perfecting their physics engine.

If i want to rally, i've got DiRT. If i want a crappy weather system, i've got PGR4. This is all about the racing, i dont understand how just this alone can turn people off this game.........it wasnt in FM or FM2, did you guys really expect it???

Plus they gotta leave something for Forza 4

Just do the 1hr endurance race 24 times...sheesh

I guess i can take this off the must buy list. What a joke that is. Gran Turismo can't do car damage and now Forza can't do weather effects.

There is no such thing as the perfect racing simulation these days.

Point me to a console racing game that has the physics of Forza, the graphics of either Forza or Gran Turismo, damage, engine swaps and modifications as well as a robust online multiplayer facility..

and then I'll understand why your standards are so unrealistically high.

Forza 3 will be one of, if not THE best game of 20009 - if you like cars.

I still play forza 2 and I've owned it since launch day.

Depsite it's lack of night-time and weather, the ELEVEN MILLION other awesome things about the game were enough to buy it.

Was there ever a point in time where Turn 10's marketing division said:

"Hey! You like FM2, well guess what! Next game will have night time, and weather!"

No, they didn't - so stop whining like little girls.

I'm glad that people are deciding NOT to buy the game because there's no weather - I can garauntee it's those same douchebags that would screw up the online experience by bitching about everything and opening up a fat can of suck everytime they tried to race.

Stick to Need for Speed and Gotham little kiddies, leave the simulator to us grown ups.

It's hardly an unrealistic high standard to expect both weather and car damage in Forza 3 when you consider we're in the seventh generation of consoles.

"Us grown ups"? For a grown up you don't take others opinions very well do you? People might not want to fork out the dollars to play a racing sim with no weather effects. Noone is stopping you from buying it so get over it and have some tissues.

Strange, everyone seems to have been doing it already for years, it seems now all of a sudden weather is the most important thing about a racing game.

Don't fork out the dollars dude, simple. <- Pretty much what I said to you already.
