LucasArts plans to reveal an all-new Star Wars game franchise next week, which has apparently been in development for some time.
"I am blown away by both the caliber of the team on this project and their bold vision for this new 'Star Wars' title," Spike TV host Geoff Keighley said.
Spike TV apparently has the full story and will go public with the information next Thursday in its GTTV show.
"I can't wait to introduce our viewers to this game and show off the footage that left my jaw on the floor when I first saw it."
Details are scarce as to when it may be coming or what gaming platforms it will be available on, but let's hope the game is returning to LucasArt's glory days and can reach the same acclaimed calibre as Star Wars: Battlefront, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars: Republic Commando.
LucasArt's most recent video game release was Kinect Star Wars, which hasn't performed or sold well by most standards, and the BioWare-developed MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic.
