A new Gears of War game will be revealed during Microsoft's E3 press conference during the early hours of Tuesday morning, Australian time.
US mag Game Informer has teased the new title ahead of its unveiling with a single image depicting a shadowed man bound in handcuffs.
The image will appear on the cover of its July issue, presumably with a preview and more information after it has officially been announced. As such, Game Informer has withheld the name of the game.
Speculation suggests it could be a prequel to the Gears trilogy, detailing the early life of protagonist Marcus Fenix, including his imprisonment, as part of a whole new trilogy.
