NBA Jam to have online play

EA Sports today nnounced today that NBA Jam will be available in Australian retail stores on November 25 PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

In December 2010, the online features for NBA Jam will be expanded with new online features through a free title update. Players will be able to team-up locally and online to compete in Remix Games, including classic arcade hoop games like Backboard Smash, Domination Free-for-All, Elimination, and 21. Fans will also be able to make it a Jam Party online by inviting up to 3 friends to play. Gamers will also be able to take on the world in Online Progression, leveling up through a series of challengers and secret online JAM Challenges to unlock online exclusive rewards and hidden content in the ultimate quest for global bragging rights.

NBA Jam will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 25, 2010.

That sucks, I would rather it be a XBLA game then a full retail game.

Will this update only be for PS3 & Xbox360? that sucks if it is I want the Wii version to have Wifi

Anyways i agree with @Rusty12 i'd prefer this to be a XBLA game 'NBA JAM' just sounds like it would suit Arcade over a full retail game

I was really hoping NBA Jam would be available off the PSN store. Its one of those games that suits having on the hard drive so I can play it whenever I want and not have to get up and swap discs.

Meh.

Greatest arcade game IMO. Will definitely be buying this if I have any money left.
