2K Sports today announced the launch of the NBA 2K12 demo, now available for download on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

The demo puts you into the shoes of either the Dallas Mavericks or Miami Heat, as you recreate the epic 2011 NBA Finals Series.

Seeing as though the NBA season is looking at a long lockout thanks to a player strike, NBA 2K12 may be your best option to fulfill your basketball cravings.

Or you can just watch *gag* the NBL...

Unfortunately you can't choose what team you are. It isn't multiplayer either which sucks.
The demo forces you to play as the Mavs. You can't choose team via start menu either.
