Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has become the first non-Call of Duty game to overtake Black Ops on the weekly Xbox Live activity chart since it launched in November, 2010.
Mojang's crafter came in second place, only trailing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Black Ops has been relegated to third position, while Fifa 12 and Battlefield 3 sit in fourth and fifth places respectively.
In further good news, it could have broken a record as an XBLA title.
"Pretty sure this is the first time an XBLA title has hit #2," Tweeted Xbox Live tracker Major Nelson.
