Microsoft to focus on dashboard services, rather than games, at E3

Microsoft will focus on Xbox Live services at E3 next month, according to an industry analyst that met with the firm last month.

Xbox 360 gamers should not "expect a lot of game stuff" at E3, according to Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter.

“They told me don’t expect a lot of game stuff, expect a lot of dashboard, interface, multimedia,” said Pachter on the ‘Microsoft E3 2012 Preview‘ of GameTrailer.com’s Bonus Round.

Yeah it seems like it's gotten worse. Loading takes a while to, although that might just be me.

Lets be fare, the only exclusive is Halo 4 the rest is multi platform. I'm not liking Xbox this year they seem more focused on casual and kinect than the hardcore. If I didn't have COD elite on my 360 I would probably sell it and just play my PS3.

Let's hope this an elaborate ploy to throw us off the scent of new exclusives... hahaha, I wish. I love my Xbox 360 to bits, but I'm no longer confident in Microsoft.

I don't think it's so important to have exclusives anymore specially so close to next gen.

Games coming out I can think of that I will be getting are:

RESIDENT EVIL 6
HALO 4
FAR CRY 3
CRYTEK 3
GTA 5 (not sure on a date yet but it is coming)

Maybe HD versions of Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia.

I think these will keep me happy until next gen, and most of these are coming before the end of the year to :).

And I'm not interested in any features Microsoft will be offering except GAMES.

Yeah what Rusty said. There's still life in it even if these big releases coming to it are multi-platform. It only becomes an issue when you own a ps3.

I also see no problem in advancing the kinect and dashboard if it improves on the technology/user interface.
