Jack Thompson Ordered to Show Cause

Jack Thompson Ordered to Show Cause

Infamous florida lawyer Jack Thompson, seen amongst gamers world-wide as the reason why their games have been banned and as an adherent advocate for people who think games are ruining society, has been subjecting developers, producers and the gaming community to various lawsuits, lies and rants since the first Grand Theft Auto game arrived, but now, to every gamer's delight, he has been shunted off of his rampaging path.

The Florida Supreme Court has ordered Mr. Thompson to show, in court, why he has subjected them to his many failed lawsuits and surrounding controversy -

02/19/2008 ORDER-SHOW CAUSE TO: JOHN BRUCE THOMPSON It appears to the Court that you have abused the legal system by submitting numerous frivolous and inappropriate filings in this Court.

Therefore, it is ordered that you shall show cause on or before March 5, 2008, why this Court should not find that you have abused the legal system process and impose upon you a sanction for abusing the legal system, including, but not limited to directing the Clerk of this Court to reject for filing any future pleadings, petitions, motions, letters, documents, or other filings submitted to this Court by you unless signed by a member of The Florida Bar other than yourself.

Thompson, irony apparently lost on him that he's taking the court he serves in to court, replied -

This is the single greatest gift that any court has ever given me in my 31 years of practicing law. I shall now, through a new federal lawsuit, deconstruct The Florida Bar ... This court has threatened Thompson. He does not threaten back. He hereby informs this court that he will see it in federal court.

bwahahahahahahah!!
thats just made my day, nice to see even the legal community is getting sick of this tool
Great news.
He referred to himself in the third person. That's fantastic.
Wait...he's seriously going to try and sue the court? You'd think with 31 years of "legal practice" he'd have enough ****ing logic to realise he will LOSE! First of all, according to the message, there is no evidence insinuating the court is threatening him. Therefore, he can't possibly use that as grounds to sue him. And if he does...oh jesus....I will lol so hard. All this simply because he can't admit he has jack **** on his claims.

He's a huge ****ing tool and a joke to rival that of Corey Delaney. I hop ehe gets what's coming to him...bankruptcy, his legal practice revoked and end up either in a gutter, under a car or better yet...working in some sort of game disc manufacturing/packaging facility. Surrounded by the very thing that caused his downfall.
This isn't news. I blogged about this two full weeks ago. Where the hell has everybody been all this time?
