IO Interactive and Square Enix have announced that Hitman: Absolution will be released in Australia on November 20 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. They have also come up with a new way to entice pre-orders, by offering a free game made available on the day you put down a deposit.
From May 16 on PS3 and Xbox 360, you will receive a code to redeem Hitman: Sniper Challenge the moment you pre-order Hitman: Absolution. PC users will be treated to the same deal on Steam, but will be forced to wait until August 2.
Square Enix is adamant that Sniper Challenge is not part of the main game, and is designed to tide you over until Absolution is released.
From a balcony overlooking a roof-top party, you are tasked with taking out Richard Strong, Jr., CEO of Stallion Armaments, along with his entire staff of bodyguards. Skilled players will capitalize on score multipliers, discover secret extras, unlock equipment upgrades, and marvel at the many creative ways one can discretely dispose of a body while they work to fulfil their contract in the most efficient way possible.
Fans who pre-order will also receive the ANZ Limited Edition, which includes "advanced access to a range of in-game Agency Weapons."
