Halo 2 Anniversary in development?

The latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine's rumour and speculation section features a snippet that states 343 Industries are currently at work on Halo 2: Anniversary, a follow up to last year's remake of the very first entry in the Halo series.

The excerpt states, "Following the success of remake Halo: Anniversary, 343 Industries has now started development of Halo 2: Anniversary."

Perhaps it will be released in Q1 or Q2 next year and integrate Halo 4's multiplayer? If OXM's "insiders" are correct, we'll surely be hearing more about Halo 2: Anniversary in the coming months.

Yeah I heard about this when Halo Anniversary was released. Dont mind it if its around $30 or a code comes my Halo 4 LE.

A lot of Xbox 360 owners these days wouldn't have played Halo 2 on the original Xbox. Since 2007 we've seen three Halo 3 games, which is probably the average across the industry excluding CoD of course.

Bring it. Look at HD remakes of a few other Xbox exclusives, too. There aren't many though. The first Xbox was as reliant on Halo's strength as an exclusive as the 360 is. Nothing has actually changed.

i don't really see them as milking it otherwise they would just chuck the game in as it was from the original but they go back and remake the graphics and it made it very good experience.
