Game of Thrones is set for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on June 6, which should please fans of the insanely popular television show.

While the game is inspired more by the source material than the television show, the game's designers acknowledge the passion of the fanbase and originality of the world envisioned by Game of Thrones creator, George Martin.

Eeeeh I don't like games that use the universe but not the stories. War in the North was boring 1) because it was a bad game 2) because the characters were boring nobodies. If it had one of these it would have been acceptable. Same goes for this, if I was to be Jon Snow or Ned Stark it would have me excited. This will have to be good to be worth it.

Hearing these guys talk about it puts me off. They may as well have just said, "we couldn't get full licensing so we had to come up with our own shit".
