Far Cry 3 delayed until December

Update: Ubisoft Australia has confirmed that Aussie gamers will receive Far Cry 3 on November 29.

Ubisoft has just announced that Far Cry 3 has been pushed back until November 29 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with the US receiving it on December 4.

Last we heard, the game was expected to launch in September, but producer Dan Hay promises the extra development time will be well spent.

We're taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience. Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players." - Dan Hay, Ubisoft

We have contacted Ubisoft Australia to find out when Aussie gamers can expect this jungle experience to drop. We'll update the news post when we receive word.

Dam that sucks, I was looking forward to playing this before call of duty.

I wonder if this delay will effect the sales because most people will probably be playing call of duty instead of giving this a go.

I will be getting COD for zombies mainly. And I forgot about Halo 4. I think I think it will definitely hurt their sales.

They must know this though, but least they are not trying to rush the game out then just add a patch later on to fix the problems.

it's actually better market strategy to put it the date they have, not before CoD as you guys suggest. Most people don't buy games in the weeks leading up to cod but then you see thousands of people ditching the game after 2 or 3 weeks to something newer and/or better. This will be the rebound game for those people
