EA has received the Worst Company in America award from The Consumerist.
As voted by the people, it has unlocked the "Golden Poo" award, after beating The Bank of America with 64 percent of the vote.
It wasn't an easy victory, as EA faced stiff competition from 32 other disliked companies, including Sony, Apple, Walmart, PayPal, Comcast, and GameStop, but ultimately it was worse than any of them in the eyes of the American public.
"Consumerist readers ultimately decided that the type of greed exhibited by EA, which is supposed to be making the world a more fun place, is worse than Bank of America's avarice, which some would argue is the entire point of operating a bank," said the victory speech given by The Consumerist (unfortunately EA couldn't be here to accept tonight).
EA has responded this morning, seemingly unfazed by the results of over 250,000 voters.
"We're sure that bank presidents, oil, tobacco, and weapons companies are all relieved they weren't on the list this year. We're going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide."
