Yesterday during Sony's E3 2009 keynote, Final Fantasy XIV Online was revealed and confirmed as a Playstation 3 exclusive (along with release on PC). While 360 owners don't seem to have caused much of a fuss over the announced exclusiveness, those who do care will be pleased to know there is still a glimmer of hope that the title will appear on the 360.
During a Q&A with IGN, FF XIV development team members revealed that the team is "considering all options at this time" regarding cross-platform release. Considering how well Final Fantasy XI went on XBOX 360 earlier this generation, one would think the possibility of it being announced for the console are high.
This news is sure to anger some dedicated PS3 and FF fans who are still livid at the announcement that Final Fantasy XIII was coming to 360 after promised exclusiveness on PS3.
