According to the South Korean media, EA shares haven just jumped 6 percent, leading to takeover speculation.
Bloomberg reports that South Korean studio Nexon, of Maple Story fame, is interested in the Battlefield 3 publisher.
What that means exactly is unknown, as there is very little to go on. It sounds like wild speculation on the South Korean media's part, rather than anything substantial.
One would assume EA is worth significantly more than Nexon, as one of the world's largest video game publishers, but that means little when cashed-up investors get involved.
Nevertheless, it remains little more than a rumour.
