Crysis series developer, Crytek, hopes to address the disheartening piracy figures attached to some of its biggest games.
That's according to the company's senior creative director, Rasmus Højengaard, who sarcastically quipped that it was "unfortunate" that developers didn't win an award for most pirated game.
"I can’t say," said Mr Højengaard when asked if the developer would do anything differently in the future to stem pirating of its games. "But yeah, obviously it’s something we’d like to address."
While "people apparently really want to play our games", proclaimed Mr Højengaard, "they just don’t wanna buy them."
Crysis 2 was the most pirated game of 2011, according to a list compiled by file sharing website, Torrent Freak.
