These days Twitter posts are just as reliable as that latest post you saw on 4chan, but when it comes from the writer of the Alan Wake titles, then we start to take notice. Sam Lake who wrote the story for both Alan Wake titles posted an interesting snippet while you were sleeping:
It’s all true. “It will happen again, in another town, a town called Ordinary.” - Sam Lake, Remedy
The tweet linked us to this blog, which seems to be in-character. Samantha mentions common themes and names from the Alan Wake universe, including Barbara and a Dark Place.
Those who are hardcore fans of the series will also notice that the quote itself actually appeared in Alan Wake's American Nightmare. It was featured during The Happy Song from the original soundtrack, and was played backwards to create a dark and spooky feeling.
Seems like Remedy are willing to put their resources behind another Alan Wake title. Perhaps it will be the sequel we all deserve?
