But some cars are cute an awesome, I have a 1969 Mini Cooper S are you saying you wouldn't own that because its cute? And Im fine with dropping too much money into a car.

my car idles super rough when i have the air con on and the revs drop to a point where its like anti-stall is kicking in (even though i dont think i have that, but you get the picture). looking on commodore problems it seems the IAC (idle air controller is to blame so i will have take off the throttle body off and clean it all.

my question is would it be worth straight out replacing the throttle body with a 70mm widened one??

its a 3.8 buick V6 with cat back exhaust. stock manifold.

God damn it. A new bumper from Townsville is $245... And then $180 to paint.

And its $100 for wheel alignment and removal of the stones from my wheels. They will also check all my suspension for me while they are at it, see if they can find why my steering is so loose.

Have you looked at how much they are? Real question is can you justify that plus ab induction kit for maybe 15ish kw? Would recommend extractors too.

Huddo, just get some carby injector cleaner spray and clean out your throttle body, its a 20 min job (inc revving the crap out of your car for a while to blow all the gunk out the back) and should work wonders.
Anytime I notice my ford start to do that, THROTTLE CLEANING TIME and I do it with a smile on my face.
Last time I did it I got flame coming back out the intake.

so u just take the whole throttle body off and clean it??

or disconnect the intake and spray it in there??

widened throttle bodies are $170-200ish. extractors are $500-600 and intakes are $100...

not sure i would spend that much on this car even tho i have the money

You know where the butterfly valve is?
where the steel braided cable from the accellerator pedal goes, you disconnect the piping from there and spray in like half a can of the good stuff.

You'll have to hold the key when turning the car on because it floods your engine. Just jeep it turning and a minute or 2 later it'll be back to normal.
Rev a lot as well ;)

what do you guys think in terms of brands for extractors?? some people are pacemaker all the way and others dont mind. cos you can get $400 sets on ebay or pay around $600 for paceys

much difference between them? will the paceys have better tuned length and quality?

I would like to know this aswell.

Usually a company like pacemaker or Genie or whoever put alot more R&D in to their products, there is a science to making gasses go out faster and smoother. Generally Pacemaker would take their time and try different product (I just spoke to HM headers last week who are trying out their 4th exhaust for a VE V6 because they wern't happy with the slight drone on the last ones) you KNOW with companies such as these that they would not release a crap product, ebay who knows.

Plus a company like Pacemaker/Genie/HM headers has a name to protect so if something goes wrong they will more than often fix it out of good will. Ebay not so much.

Man those nuclear mucus coloured Ford Focus's are so dam bright you can see them coming a mile away. Probably the brightest colour I've seen on a factory painted car. Right now I'm not sure if I like it or hate it. *sits on fence*

the orange is the only decent colour in the range. blue is alright and black is black

Kinda don't mind the orange version, seen a few with everything blacked out. Looks kinda rude and tough.
