Title as suggested ^_^ and holy crap I can't believe that we are already onto our 3rd thread, that's over 200 pages of car talk. We need cars.mmgn [Shifty]

Alot of the UK cars will be LHD still as it is not compulsory to have a newer car in RHD there, random bit of trivia Australia is the Only country to get RHD Corvettes.....

I was looking at soarers, celicas, SS commodores, and a few other not ridiculously powerful cars.
I'm angry because the cheapest manual cars that arent hyundais are turbo of v8. And half the turbos are barely as powerful as a v6 commodore.
A maximum power output would make more sense or even as you said a power/weight restriction.
Instead of all turbos and 8's.
And if you started off driving in a pwoerfull car then you can handle a powerfull car by the time you can drive on your own.
And the whole 100 hours for your L's is bull shit, if your in a city you take an hour just to cross the road, if your in a small town you can drive around the entire town in 15 minutes.
Instead of generalizing everything they should make detailed exceptions.
Half my rants are powered by my excessive rage from being screwed by everyone in this town when it comes to trying to buy a car or get paid properly.
**** i need a new hobby. Or a new job so i can afford a hobby.

Dear this angry guy, if you are in Victoria, I would look into the major loop hole on Vicroads part because if you look in their allowed and banned vehicles for p plates a supercharged commodore is YOU GUESSED IT................ allowed....

I was deadly serious, until I went to go get the link again and its changed O.O

Didn't believe a customer at work so I looked it up and it said approved, now it says banned and I feel like a right old tool.

He said that he even rang up Vicroads to double check and that they said he was allowed to aslong as something was signed. Now I feel like a dick :[

Is it still power to weight ratio restrictions here? I stopped caring when I got full license, the only thing I worry about is insurance costs.

It would be nice if it was that thought through in NSW, its generalised no turbos and no V8+s unless they're diesels. New euro small 4 cyl turbos which have less power than their outgoing naturally aspirated versions (e.g. VW Golf 77/90TSI) are restricted too. -_-

Some V6s are restricted too, including the 350Z :'(

UK cars are all RHD well an overwhelming majority. they allow LHD due to other european countries having LHD.

ive watched like every wheeler dealers episode on foxtel and its so frustrating how cheap they get cars that are in excellent condition and the parts stores are huge and cheap aswell.

i know its cos of the larger market and number of vehicles that the cost is so low so no need to explain that to me

Wheeler Dealers is awesome. The guy is a little over energetic when it comes to making a deal though :P

yeah he really sucks at doing deals he never pushes too hard but thats what the show is about. keeping cars on the road and showing us how to do stuff not just making a buck.

yeah but then thats what makes them a bargain!! and parts are so cheap and u can do it yourself pretty easy. its crazy how he goes into a massive store and asks for a bonnet, bumper and accessories and it costs him under 200 pounds and it all brand new bolt on and add ur own paint. wish we had that here :'(

like when my cousin got her pulsar then i started seeing a crap load of pulsars around that i never noticed before

Yeah i know what you mean. Its like now that you have payed attention to the car u see it everywhere.

I think i have made a decision and set a goal for the car i want.
I want something cool with plenty of up and go so i dont get left behind by Mr Hurr Durp and his land cruiser, I want something with low K's and a good rep.

I'm saving for a Mark IV Supra Aero Top :P

That seems to happen to me as well, when ever I buy a car or someone close to me gets one I notice the purchased model more.

I'm guessing prices are dropping because of the 370Z, there were quite a few going for 20-30k all with roughly 100,000ks or less, that one was the cheapest but not by that much.
