The Books Thread

So it turns out books still exist, and it occurred to me that some of you might read them occasionally, so tell us, what are you reading?

More importantly, where should I buy books from online? (real books, no e).
I'm slowly getting through the fourth Sherlock Holmes book, one story at a time.

I've found that www.bookdepository.co.uk... to have the best range and prices. They even had all of my school textbooks! Free shipping, too (love)

That site looks amazing ;O

Finally reading A Game of Thrones (I took my time about it).

I'd love recommendations though, since I'm usually at a loss for what to read. :(
The 13-and-a-Half Lives of Captain Bluebear is probably my favourite adventure/fantasy novel of all time.
Seems a bit like the stuff by Paul Stewart & Chris Riddell. I'll check it out :D
lol reading.
Finished The Hunger Games trilogy a while back, started reading The Lucky One but have lost interest.
I hate going to the book section and all there is is crappy mum books, crappy teen books and books with film-covers on them, because they're popular now because of the adapted film.
Reading World War Z by Max Brooks, great book about zombies. It is pretty believable as well, you could actually see things turning out like this if there ever was a zombie outbreak.
I really need to pay off my library fines. Currently reading a shitload of legislation for my new job. Last thing a read would be let the right one in. Or possibly Atlas Shrugged, **** that was a heavy duty book to read.

I thought it said "the boobs thread".
I'm disappointed :(
Finished Stephen King's 'Under The Dome'. Great read.
I just started Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian. He has a strange writing style but it can be really engaging. Starting to see why the book is considered by some to be unfilmable.
If only this thread smelt like musty old books, ohhhhhh.
[Derp]

I buy from book depository all the time, they're great. I've gotten books as low as $3 on there.

I'm the biggest book nerd, enjoy YA, paranormal, urban fantasy reads and the occasional bestseller/classic. I'm reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver at the moment, a dystopian society where love is a disease.

This is my GoodReads account if anyone else is interested: www.goodreads.com/...

Fantastic book, love cormac mccarthy
I was thinking about making a book thread the other day! ;) Not reading anything at the moment, but I need a good non-fiction book to get into, any suggestions?
Currently reading A Game of Thrones. Already watched the show but the book has so much more depth. (Obviously)
Poor Bran. That image will be burned into his retinas forever...

Read Truman capote's "in Cold Blood". It's a great non fiction novel.

Okay, DEFINITELY buying things now. :D
I own almost 600 ebooks. Here is a list of books I have read , complete with excerpts (eading on a Kindle makes it real easy to grab excerpts and quotes). I don't force myself to finish crap books, so you can consider that to be a list of recommendations too.
That is one heck of a lot of ebooks X_X
The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore is great.
