When you have an Xbox, there are two major things that you will need to have that are essential.

One is Xbox Live Gold and the other is Microsoft Points (the currency on Xbox used to buy stuff). Whilst you can purchase these in retail stores/the marketplace they're not always the best places for your wallet.

With that said, I'll be updating this post to give you guys the best prices for both XBL and MSP.

12 month memberships

Xbox memberships are NOT region locked. Thanks to this, you can take advantage of buying XBL cards from overseas thanks to the strong Aussie Dollar.

Microsoft Points ARE region locked. Buying an EU/US card will not work on Aussie accounts. In order to use them, you will need an account relevant to the region of the code.

Just in case no one has said this; GameCard is located in Brisbane. I'm not sure if everything is back in order now, but my mate ordered Live off there around the time of the floods and had to cancel the order.

I ordered mine 4 days ago and got it yesterday, I'm in NSW, so looks like they're ok.

Ahhhh, my bad.

I also ordered from them recently because my gold membership ran out when I was in Queensland (ironically) the email arrived within a couple days, and it was over the worst time during the floods, so they seem to be good too.
