After its announcement at E3 2012, Splinter Cell Blacklist is coming out in Autumn 2013 (Spring for America).

Some people are angry that Michael Ironside is no longer doing Sam Fisher's voice while some don't like the new direction the game is going. Some however (like me), thought the gameplay looked awesome with its fluid multikills and attention to detail, such as the interrogations.

What are your thoughts on the game? Are you looking forward to it?

It's showing at E3 was very good, will need to see more gameplay to ensure it actually works, looked very setup with the multi-kills. Was cool though you are right to be pumped!

If so, Perhaps they took an action scene from the game because that's actually more eye pleasing than crawling around for 5 minutes?

I loved Conviction, Sneaking around being all stealthy.

Hoping this turns out to be way better though. Can say that i am genuinely excited

@Mirage that's what i thought too... conviction had some action bits too, but the majority of the game was stealth, i still have no idea why people complain about conviction and blacklist not being like "the old stealthy splinter cells"...

i personally LOVED conviction, it's my favourite spy game out atm. also noticed some controls changed in the demo for blacklist, like press X instead of B for a takedown, etc.

the only thing i hated about conviction was the sonar/thermal goggles getting all fuzzy while u moved and being blurry in general, but looks like they fixed that!

Yea. By fall I meant autumn for us, but spring for them. I just said fall cause I'm used to saying it for game release dates... Will change it now

I'm pumped, although Conviction was a bit of a letdown for me.

I like the sound of the story, environments, gameplay.

Is it an Xbox 360 exclusive?

this ones being released on the usual 3 (xbox 360, ps3, pc)

and personally, i liked conviction... i love the feeling of being able to kill multiple enemies in a couple seconds, and the new killing in motion mechanic in blacklist looks very pleasing :P

The first series of 'Splinter Cell' were awesome - as revolved around sneaking from point A to B. Ever since 'Double Agent', its more action-heavy, with less reliance on sneaking. This 'Blacklist' looks more action than ever before.

i dont know why everyone says that, i played conviction and enjoyed that a lot. and there was plenty of stealth involved, i pretty much tried to stay in stealth for the whole game (except for the stupid iraq level).

the only thing is u couldnt drag bodies, non-lethal takedown, or do a whole level without killing anyone/being seen... ALL of which are being rectified for BLACKLIST, as stated by the developers. the action-heavy part they showed at e3 wasnt what the whole game is going to be like :)

I saw an extended version of the E3 demo, and there was a lot more stealth before they part they showed during the conference.

But, like everything these days, the emphasis was on it being the player's choice. So you can run around killing everyone, or try to avoid most of them.

I'm not sure whether to get this on the PC or Xbox... I have an Alienware laptop that I can easily hook up to my TV with HDMI in my room, so they'd both be the same in terms of playing on my bed and with an Xbox controller

I'm pretty sure my Alienware performs better than my Xbox based on previous games (skyrim, splinter cell conviction, etc). I just don't know if I should get Xbox for the better online/multiplayer (voice chat, etc)

What do you think?
