Apparantly they fired all the producers because their royalties were coming to them, and infinity ward didnt have the money or something, or just chose to save money lol

But the gameplay is entirely different, I take it you didn't play the BC2 demo? Eg. It's way more tactical than MW2. If you run and gun, you're as good as meat on a platter.

Run and Gun was NOT a legitimate strategy lol. Really wasn't a fan of the guns in the demo.

apparently theres been tension between Activision and Infinity Ward for a while, which started with Activision not wanting a Modern Warfare game and wanted a few more World War games.

developer Infinity Ward now says that its owner Activision was against the idea from the start, deeming the idea "risky" and requesting more games set in the 1940s.

(Pretty old news but i feel like it contributes to how long they have had tension between them)

sounds like things finally escilated between the two. If you ask me, Infinity Ward did a great job with CoD4: Modern Warfare, but kind of dropped the ball with the multiplayer balancing (Shotguns way overpowered, the campaign wasnt as exciting as CoD4's etc) and should continue with the Modern Warfare series (maybe end it after MW3) while Treyarch picks up on the World War type Call Of Duty, like they did with World At War (how they went into missions that haven't been done much, such as the Massacre of Stalingrad)

I don't think this is the thread to dicuss BFBC2 vs MW2....

On the other hand, two senior employees Vince Zampella and Jason West have been fired for insubordination, Activision have also announced a 2011 COD developed by another one of their developers that they recently acquired.

Many are predicting that the reason behind the insubordination is due to IW talking to other publishers, breaching their contracts and Activision not paying royalties.
