I think it'll be great, I'm really excited for it.
I think kinect will be good but because the actions are so repetitive in the game it won't be something I use for long once the appeal is lost.

I think the only positive to minecraft on xbox is that you will be able to play with a party of friends and chat with them at the same time. You can do it already obviously but xbox live will make it easier. Ill be sticking with pc for the modding and texture support.

The only people that will buy this are ones that do not have a PC or Mac. Honestly can't see this working well on any console.

I think this could be really good with a controller. The controls are very simplistic. LS is move, RS is looking, LT for destroying blocks, RT for placing blocks, LB for going left through your inventory, RB for going right through inventory. The only thing that could be annoying is jumping, they could either have it so when you approached a walked into a block you automatically jumped over it or pushing down LS/RS for jump, or even have one of the bumpers be jump.

I think this can work. The only thing that would concern me is playing online, I think that might struggle a bit.

It may even make playing online a bit easier if they set up a simple search feature when you can browse the public servers or just accept an invite to a private one.

No need to have a text folder with a whole bunch of ip addresses in it :P

I agree about the controller too, it could work easily because of the simplicity.

There is also an auto-jump mod for the PC version already.

Problem with online though would be loading the epic map. I imagine that could be an issue for the xbox.

I think the controller will be better for me, I play on a mac atm, so I'm already on the back foot :P

Could work, although I probably wouldn't pay $80 for a product that doesn't look as good or operate the same as something I've only paid $10 for in the past. Even if the controller is better.

Did MS give an estimated release date? I hope they take their time getting it right, cause this could be something very easy to **** up.
