I've been craving a new Halo adventure, as Reach only stole the limelight for a small amount of time, not long enough to keep me satisfied. So, I did some digging. There is a supposed leaked image of the next month's Xbox Magazine. Article below picture.

There are also various other articles that are worth a read, all pointing to 343 Industries making a huge announcement regarding a new Halo game at next week's E3.

Nope.

Bungie have signed an exclusive deal with Activision.

Halo is still owned by Microsoft Game Studios.

343 Industries are in charge of the IP. They are headed up by Frank "Frankie" O'Connor (one of the ex lead writers from Bungie).

Rashy is correct. Bungie left Halo with Microsoft and are now working on a new project with Activision.

Will the Halo remake include Halo 1 and 2?
I have played neither and would love to play them both in HD.
If not can I download Halo 2 on the 360 store? Does it look crap upscaled?

Im pretty sure you can only get 1 on the marketplace.
Some the things look pretty awesome upscaled others not so much.

If you have a at least decent PC, and have at least Vista on it, you can pick up Halo 2 Vista for about $20 in JB. It has XBL on it, as well as achievements.

Original XBOX games work it's just a matter of downloading the patch for them (one big patch not one for each). This was pre installed on all models that came with a HDD pre slim. I'm not sure if it is on the slim or not, but it should be a simple matter of putting the disk in and letting it download the patch if it isn't on there.
