This game needs a discussion, so I can talk to myself about it.

After being pushed back to an August release to shine it up real nice for us players, the sequel to the first epic game is almost here and we can take control of the eldest brother of the horsemen, Death. Seems they have added a lot more RPG elements as well, skill trees, levels, drops and armour/weapon sets. It's shaping up to be real fun. They've also added a more complex and in-depth traversal system which most people seem to be comparing to Prince of Persia, having never played any of these games, I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing.

Also, the game being confirmed on the WiiU is big news, for me anyway, as it's the first game that made me wanna pay attention to the console, will definitely end up being a double buy for me on PC and WiiU

So, who's picking it up?

The first one is underrated terribly. But I am really looking forward to this. I think THQ is setting itself up nicely with new franchises like Darksider and Homecoming. Really looking forward to this.

I'm playing through the first one again now, going for 100% items, I'm glad they decided to make it less linear this time around. I was always a little disappointed with the illusion of a free-roaming game I got with the first considering there's essentially just 3 paths to take. I just hope it's not the same deal this time.

The first AC was the same. It was "open-world", but you couldn't REALLY explore, and the missions were just the same over and over again.
I have actually played more of this game than anyone else not employed by the publishers of the game.

The demo glitched while I played it and loaded the next level :P
Loved the first one was a good platinum (100%) game & i'm hoping this one is similar.

I preordered the collectors edition ages ago & hope they made some improvements in the gameplay department.

Did Ben ever get around to posting those answers to the questions for the developer interview?
I've ordered the CE as well, I'm not usually big on collectible stuff, but that Death Mask and 2 extra DLC content packs was worth the $100 to me.

I hope there's still some CE to preorder when I get paid next... I want the mask now
I ordered the PC CE from EB (Say that 5 times fast), $106.

Pretty good deal if you ask me, especially for EB, I didn't wanna risk going to GAME.

I hope they connect the endings at the conclusion of Darksiders II.
I ordered from game but when te uk branch went to admin I quickly cancelled and ordered it at eb. Lucky. I have to pick up in store but thanks to the release delay I'll be in Europe so I hope they hold it thr extra week for me.

Darksiders II creative director Joe Madureira has been talking about how the game’s story is a standalone narrative, taking place alongside the events of the first game and not requiring any previous experience to understand.

That's good to know. Although I don't think the first game was particularly overly complicated to understand what was going on.

The first game did that really awesomely as well. Although a lot of the settings were gloomy and dark, when there was colour around it really popped and made you notice it.

I was thinking about waiting to get it on the WiiU, but I can't see myself playing with anything except a gamepad, same reason I haven't played any of the new Zeldas lol
