Armor in Halo reach, does it have any effect on gameplay ?

Just wondering does anyone know yet if the Armour you purchase in Halo Reach actually effects game play ?

I've bought a few armor bits and they have descriptions, but they don't seem to do anything, well don't think so anyway.

Is there a faq or something about these to explain what each one does or if they effect game play anywhere ?

Really ? If you read some of the armor abilities, they sound like they do something :).

Like a helmet I bought, says to decrease the chance of decapitation. And another few I read about them being light weight and good for jet packs @_@

its for entertainment. Some people like to read that intel stuff while it has no efffect on gameplay. Just like how in metroid you can scan and read enemy logs but it has no effect on gameplay

Dam that sucks then :( . I think it would be more interesting and fun if you could buy some extra armor and it made you jet pack for a bit longer, or you could stay invisible for longer or run faster and longer.

Well I think it's useless even buying this stuff then -_-

Armour lock is stupid because everyone just waits for it to finish and then throws grenades or shoots you to death. it could at least blind everyone so they can't see you to give you a chance to run away :D
