Yeah, definitely, now people might actually have a chance when they play a fighting game on the 360. If it works, that is. I remember playing "MEGA-TURBO-SUPER-AMAZING-INSANE-STREET-FIGHTER-TWO-HD-WOW-DAD-EDITION" for hours with the old (current) controller (as is my addiction to that game) and I had straight-up blisters.

Apparently it's going for $65 in the states but it's bundled (and can only be bought like that) with the Play N Charge Kit.

No doubt that when it comes here, we're going to get slogged $100. Considering current controllers are worth $50 and PnC kits can be bought for $25 I will most likely give it a miss.

I also may wait till they include it into their consoles and wait for a limited edition and what not.

It's true that it's not a huge overhaul of the controller but it has been a problem for a long time and many people have complained about it. It shows MS is listening which is a good thing.

So is there actually any changes in the design apart from the D-pad?

It looks pretty much identical, apart from the different finish that is.

Well that's what I'm saying. In the video in the news section Nelson half claims there's other changes but says nothing about it. He's just very vague and tries to talk it up.

The button colour change is nice.
You will have to know the letters now instead of the colours, or even in some cases of games that just show the colour button, you will have to still associate each button with each colour.

I'm sure all of us have used a 360 controller enough to have it embedded in our minds, but for some it might be weird.

It annoys me how the "D"-pad is like a "round-about"-pad.

Hopefully they're easier to press too, as opposed to a flat thumb/joy stick.

i am definetly a ps3 fanboy but dnt mind the xbox time to time but must admit the good thing i like about the xbox 360 controller are the buttons and the triggers and for the ps3 its the analog sticks no offence to any xbox fans out there ;)

looks gay. prefer coloured buttons, and bumpy controls sticks. without the colours, how are you gonna tell people to PUSH THE RED ONE/PUSH THE BLUE ONE, etc
