Is there still a place for wired controllers?

Not physically I know that there's USB plugs at the front of the console :P
In general I mean, every console now comes with wireless controllers and we now have gotten used to them and think they are the norm. Right now I'm stuffing around with the Raza Onza which is a wire unit, the provide cable length is great and is long enough to reach where I would sit.
The only thing I don;t like is packing it up because I like to keep my lounge room tidy and clutter free.

As long as the wire is at least 3 meters long, I don't mind them. I still like wireless better though.

I always prefer wireless as long as it is easy to recharge/have rechargeable batteries.

When it comes to PC gaming you want a wired keyboard and mouse so that there's no delay in response time. I don't think that is an issue with consoles so you don't "have to" get a wired controller.
The plus side is you never have to charge them up.

Oh, I hadn't thought about PC gaming. :O

I prefer a wired keyboard because I never need to move the keyboard, but I prefer a wireless mouse. My mouse's receiver is literally 10 cms away from where my mouse sits.

Plus when I watch a movie at night time I turn my computer off from where I'm sitting with my mouse. :P

It's also true with some console games, I know a lot of the Brawl peeps prefer a wired control as there's less button lag.

I wanted a wired controller.
Hence I got the Razor Onza but thats a load of crap so I need to get another one.

I had looked up reviews and stuff about the light-up controller but they were meh.

I don't mind if its wireless or has wires but wireless is just easier since there is no cable and stuff.

I don't think so. Although, I think the 360's Plug 'n' Play system should be standard. The PS3's is way too short (although you just need a USB cable extender).

I don't think so. I hate wired controllers, always have. I loved by WaveBird for GC when I got it. Paid $80 for it, but oh so worth it!

I sold it a few years back now, and now I can't find another for a reasonable price =_=

I never play with my PS3 controller disconnected, it is always connected to my PS3 so I have the cord which isnt an issue for me.

As for a computer mouse I only use wired I dislike replacing batteries.

It doesn't bother me, both wireless and wired have pros and cons.

Some wireless can't hold a charge or die when you haven't used them for a while. Wired controllers have a wire and I generally find they are heavier.
