Hi,

I recently acquired a premium xbox 360 which has a video display fault. When playing some video content the picture has small artifacts through it. They typically are made up of 3 rectangular blocks arranged in an inverted triangle, each block is a few pixels square. They look a bit like the "noise" you see in a digital TV signal picture with poor signal quality.

Examples are in the video intros to "Skate" and "Burnout Paradise".

It is not heat related in as much as it does it when the console is first turned on (and forever after).

Manufacturing date was 2006-02-27 but I was given the unit 3 weeks back still sealed in the original packaging (it was an unwanted gift).

I'm running it into a 50" plasma using an HDTV component cable at 1080i. Setting the cable to "TV" or using a lower resolution makes no difference. I have tried another 360 with the same screen and it the same games worked fine. The unit plays movie DVDs perfectly.

Any thoughts beyond "send it back" appreciated.
