What blades do you have btw?

1. That was literally the extent of the money I could spend and still be able to get home. Being unemployed sucks.

2. I think i bought Wilkinsons or something, shavershop didnt seem to have gilettee 7 o'clocks in store =/

Okay, so I tried cold shaving again, and it's pretty great. Since the point is to minimise irritation and nicks, I used my shavette with a new blade (new Wilkinson Sword, in honor of swordsaint :P), which tends to give me exactly those two things. I did everything as normal, using instead cold water, and walked away with no nicks and no irritation. Very close shave, no whiskers missed. And my face felt tight and fresh (again what she said [monkey]) because of the cold water.

I fully recommend it.

damn it. i was hoping it wouldnt work...... i dont want to splash cold water on my face.

so you showered normally. made your lather with cold water.......did you rinse the razor in cold water and so were putting cold steel on your face?

and........are you going to cold water shave from now on?

Next you should try shaving without lubrication!

1) I shower before sleeping. No need to shower when I wake up, as I don't have a girlfriend, you see? ;)
2) I left the cold water on my face for about a minute longer than usual.
3) Razor was indeed dipped in cold water. You don't notice it, since the rest of your face is cold already.
4) Especially when cold shaving, never shave where there is no lather. I got a tiny bit of irritation at the top of one of my cheeks because I hadn't lathered that far up.
5) And yes, I will shave cold tomorrow as well! [monkey]
