Ohhhhh. In that case, you are paying for the brand name. I think Feather blades are too sharp for shavettes, anyway. If you wanted to use a Feather, you'd have to cork it first. Even 7 O'Clocks need corking for use in a shavette.

Speaking of which, have you tried 7 O'Clocks yet?

Funny story.

I shaved with my feathers.. i threw the blade away.
then i saw that i missed 1-2 whiskers on teh stache

so i took whatever blade i got from the sample - pack.. it was the 7oclock

i loaded it.
shaved the hair off.. put the razor down.. off to uni

half way i realized i didnt wash the blade .. so when i came home the lather residue solidified and i didnt want to use it.

but for the 2 strokes i did get out of the 7 oclocks... they seemed pretty nice :D

so those blades i linked you to.. they can fit in your shavette?

I think I just got a "shadow". I shaved when I got up (Lunch time). I just went for a piss, washed my hands and noticed.

First shadow I've ever gotten. My method differed this time:

Went and had a shower (usual) - got out and dried myself, put a hot face cloth on my face - when it went cold did it again (did this 3 times) (not usual), then soaped myself up and shaved.

I only skimmed through the video hamzi posted a while ago and that's what I picked up.

yay finally a good shave with the slant :D :D

Desi you need to try cold water shaving and tell me how it works.

Just use cold water through out (not luke warm.. but cold)

its the new thing and many people say it gives them irritation free super close shave :/

That would make a lot of sense. Since the pores aren't being dilated, there would be less posssibility of the blade scraping some skin off. And because the hairs don't get push above the skin, there's less chance of them sinking back down and causing irritation.

I will definitely try it tomorrow.

will be hard to splash cold water in the winter though.
So does this involve shaving before showering....unless you want to shower with cold water
