Hello all. I have noticed a few people asking various questions about EB and JB over the years. I'm sure you all have a question or two that you'd probably like answered, so maybe I can shed a little light?

I used to work for EB games and I am currently Employed at JB (as a games consultant). I am happy to answer your questions (if I am allowed to, that is), so if you'd like to know something, now is the time to ask.

@pilkingbod I'm in charge of the Games area. There are 3 parts to software (Games, Music and Movies) and each JB will have a few people who are hired to work specifically in each area. And no [MOG]

@Guyver EB, yes, JB, not so much. Both companies make huge profit when they make preowned sales. EB would crumble and go under without preowned sales.

@emery EB is a shit hole, they treat staff badly and expect way too much from their employees. JB is awesome.

@huddo I'll keep you posted. In regards to the cost price, it's pretty much what JB sells it as. We don't make much on newer release games. [Shifty]

@Snix I probably saw you in Bourke St store quite a few times already without knowing, I live in the CBD, so pop in at least once a week! Are the chicks that used to work there still there?

There was a really grumpy one last time I went in to trade 3-4-1 and wouldn't let me trade GH: Warriors of Rock purely because it said "Not for resale" on the back (meaning it came from a bundle), until I picked up about 4 GH games from the pre-owned section with the same words on the back and pointed it out to her. She then begrudgingly did the trade, but told me something along the lines of "This is the last time we're gonna do this for you..."

On the upside though, I did see a friendly older guy in the games dept, who was really nice to me when I traded. Oooh, and I think I know who you are, might've bumped into you in the game shelves handing out some advice to customers and I chimed in :P

@iamtom I live like 5 mins walk away from corner of Bourke and Swanston streets and pass it quite often every day. I pop into the Bourke Street JB at LEAST once a week as it is not far from my regular shopping trip (QV Safeway and ALDI further up the street).

I had some shopping to do tomorrow and was thinking of popping into JB to politely introduce myself, so that I could know who he is and vice versa... What's so scary about that?

@snix do you know if JB will do a 1 for 1 deal on Skyrim?
