Over here it's rare to find a AFL field so we have to play in a rugby field so at my high school vs other schools we played Aussie Rules using a rugby field post. If u hit the post it's 1 point but between its 6.

How dodgy lol

Not really other football codes like Samoa Rules Football and Metro Rules Football(American version) have similar rules. There's heaps of football codes other than AFL. Rugby in the 18th century played similar to modern day Gaelic Football and Aussie rules untill they put new rules like tries and line outs what we see rugby is played today.

International Rules Football played in a soccer/rugby field so why not. There's rarely any Aussie rules fields in NSW n QLD so we have to improvise.
Great, channel 7 or 10 is hijacked for another year -_-

Surely they could put up two extra posts at each end for behinds though? Doesn't take very long, unless it's just one game this is played.

Nah I don't see the point putting the 2 extra post u only get 1 point for missing the main it's like if u miss the middle 'U tried but we just going to reward u with 1 point just for trying'.
We just like the game harder to score points maybe we mite introduce a new rule the only way to score is a drop kick field goal over the post just to make it harder.
You don't see the point?

There is a big difference between hitting a post, and the distance between the goal post and the point post.

It's not rewarding mediocrity. You're still scoring. A point at times is a good result as it allows the attacking team to set up a zone, keep it in their half, whereas constant back and forth play makes it harder to defend, both your goal and their goal.
And it eliminates the frequency of drawn games.
Many people in different place have different cultures and have their versions of football that's how football evolve to different codes and rules. It's just people from the north states like things different to the Australians from the South states. We Northerners are like the rednecks of Australia.

Bob Katter being the federal MP of FNQ is evidence of that.
Swans to beat the Bombers Friday night?

Thank goodness we are playing at Etihad because rain has been forecasted I'd hate for another no show.
You never know.

It's a half-hour drive. They might considering jetting in, and parachuting into the stadium.

It's bad enough that he has his own radio show. [Facepalm]
Liam Jurrah is in jail

Seems like he might have been the victim. Not charged with anything.
Gloves off as Barry ends boxing bid

Probably didn't want to get smacked up by Sonny Bill Williams who physique wise is a beast.

He's undefeated ATM but in the same vein of Mundine by beating up on blokes who are classes below him, would've liked to see BBB (big bad Bazza) vs SBW.

Good news for Port with Travis Boak pledging his commitment to the club & is almost a certainty to turn down Victoria & GWS interests, good on ya Boaky he'll be captain next year definitely.

I saw on the paper that Sonny Bill is going back playing rugby league playing for the Roosters in 2013.

He has since been charged.

This could be career over for him. :O
That's a damn shame.
If that's the case, hopefully it is.
BREAKING NEWS: An Alice Springs Court has released Liam Jurrah on bail with a $20,000 surety, according to reports.

The 23-year-old denied he was involved in a brawl that allegedly left a 35-year-old man with serious machete wounds to the head.
More soon.

Shame about Jurrah. He dominates in AFL Live :P
Demons paid his bail too.

I think they know what's been going on, and support him because he has responsibilities up there too. He was up there because his partner's sister died last week, so who knows how this is all related.

Hopefully for his sake it wasn't him with the machete... but if it was, he will go to jail.
Gaff re-signs with the Eagles so he won't be going to Essendon.
Sam Reid and Luke Parker are stars.
