Is anyone else having or just had some INSANE weather?
I'm in Melbourne and it was hailing for a short period of time but it was the loudest hail I have ever heard! My windows were about to break. As I looked outside I can see my front and backyard which looks like it's been covered in snow.

Anyone else had any extreme weather near them?

I was up at 5 this morning and saw this in all of it's glory. I looked out over the harbour and couldn't see the city. I could hear a lot of sirens and alarms going off (I assume smoke detectors were set off by the fine particles).

Red smoke + sirens + alarms made me a little uneasy...

Yeah. I couldn't even see the other side of the harbour. We could hear the sirens and alarms coming across the water along with the funny smell in the air.

I just said to my GF "so we both think this is a terrorist attack right?". lol

Update: Water levels in ipswich are at 18 meters, they were at 22 meters in the 1974 floods... going to get worse too.

Ducati, The water levels are predicted to hit around 22.

Theres a few family friends who live not far from Brisbane, Hope they are ok.

I still can't believe the River broke it's banks

edit: to everyone here who lives in Brisbane, If the worst comes to it, Hope use all get out safe

Yeah, Mum was talking about going to QLD around the end of the month @_@ She wants to go and see her old friend there, The floods aren't expected to hit there...

edit: heres a link to various traffic cameras that you can look at just to find out how bad some of this can be

They are traffic cameras, All over QLD. I've been going through some at random and you can see a fair bit of water in some.
