In a possibly futile attempt to keep the number of erroneus threads down, I think its a good idea to have a thread for those interesting "Look what I found on the Internet" moments.

This is not another silly thread for jokes (but feel free to let rip) but more an attempt by me to repair some of the damage I have done to this site with my non-sensical ramblings of which I think I am on the brink of repeating as I type this.

The links can be related to anything, even games/console info if you so wish.

I'll kick it off with this, looks like a blu-ray player for xbox360 is in development, by lite-on as well, (good company)

Actually his land lord found it under his bed and called the cops - this was the second time she had been stolen, apparently he had no intention of ever selling her

I've read a few different accounts of how and where it was found. The popular one is that he had it in a box (tool box or the like from memory) under his bed. The most unlikely was that he had it hanging on his wall. Seriously

yeah, i read about that elsewhere tom, we wont ever see it here in australia. To maintain a resolution of 720p@60hz you need a 5MBps connection, otherwise it scales you back.

if you buy your house in one of the nex suburbs like Forde in gungahlin you get Fibre Optic to the Node, wont get much better than that, one would hope that all new developments in canberra would be fitted out similarly, but i highly doubt it

For mock ups, those actually don't look too bad... they'd never call it the 720 though. I'm thinking maybe 362 or something just as gimmicky but less crap sounding. I remember all the fake PS3 and "Xbox 2" (ie before anyone knew it was 360) images that started popping up in the final two years of the PS2 and Xbox era... it was awesome guessing what the specs would be, but like I'm sure these are, they were freaking way off.
