The City of Melbourne is NOT crumbling!!

Though it may have a few cracks here and there, we here in Melbourne live in one of the safest and most vibrant cities in the world!

We have been nominated most livable and most safest city in the world more than once, and I for one agree with this.

I have been lucky enough to have never witnessed a fight, though i know they are happening...

The greecy wogs in their idiot mobiles and loud music bothers me just as much as the next bloke, but they are still mostly harmless and do provide a laugh as they drive by looking like complete twats.

They are also a great conversation starter and is a topic EVERYONE will agree on...they are twats!

Immigration/ Immigrants, YES they do cause problems, but so do fully fledged Australians.

One thing I have a problem with is refugees, especially sudanese refugees, no, it is not from a racist point of view, but simply this...

How many refugees do they plan on bringing into Australia ? ALL of them ? The government is NOT helping the situation by simply bringing these people into Australia by the boatload, causing problems, not integrating, forming gangs etc..

Instead of spending all this money on brining them here, spend the money on IMPROVING the situation over THERE!!

Whats the point of just bringing them over here when the situation over there just worsens, in the end we would have imported every person in Sudan,,,simply idiotic if u ask me!

Look man, you can do all you like to make yourself sound intelligent and idealistic and defend the "multiculturalism" of Sydney....

All the while your fellow Sydneysiders plan their next race riot.

I disagree. Australia only became "multicultural" after WWII. Prior to that, most immigrants came from the UK. So, really, the majority of Australia was developed by white people who had very similar religious and cultural backgrounds.

I was taught it was during the gold rush days (1850s, 60s etc) when most of the non British migrants came.

I don't deny that there were plenty of non-Brit migrants but I'm pretty sure the real influx only came after WWII.

Yep... lot's of Italians at least around that time. My grandfather came to Melbourne in the late 40's.
Melbourne has the largest Greek population outside of Greece.

Just a fact for the day right there.

****. Is there nobody from Melbourne capable of having a discussion without resorting to, "SYDNEY SUX, MELBOURNE IS AWSUM!"?

It's really, really pathetic.

I could mention the series of attacks in Melbourne on Sudanese refugees culminating in a few murders last year, but because I have more than two brain cells to rub together I can identify that these incidents aren't representative of the whole population of Melbourne.

There is racism in both cities. Neither is any more or less racist than the other. Grow the **** up.

most of those attacks were sudanese on sudanese, not white on sudanese

Which is why no-one cares.
It's like in Auckland: the Chinese there are constantly kidnapping each other for ransom but because they keep their crime within their own community, no-one gives a damn. I know I don't.
