We've had many threads involving NRL, but never a general discussion and with the trials starting. What better time to make one.

I'm watching Dragons vs Souths now... only because they're not televising the good game, being Roosters and Tigers

Picks for the year my fellow New South Welshmen? Premiers, Wooden Spoons? If I had to put money on it, I'd go Roosters this year, Tigers will still definitely win though, we're leading the Roosters 12-6 and it's only ten minutes in. [MOG]

I'm not sure that's the idea he has. He recognizes it's an AFL town and it's going to take a lot of work to have a succesful team in WA.

I thought this was for general NRL discussion so I didn't see what would be wrong with making a state of origin thread 24hrs before the game. A bit of back and forth before the game and whatever comes during/after. Meh.

@Abers A mod doesn't have to make it technically, But if i can get a medal whipped up i'll put up a thread about Origin. Personally, Origin to me is a step above NRL. It should warrant it's own thread (general thread for the series that gets locked between games?)

But yeah, I'll see what i can do.

A thread that could be used for both sides (QLD and NSW) creates more discussion than an individualized topic on NSW. Feel free to create a State of Origin 2012 thread though. :D

I agree, which is why I was shocked it got locked. Although it was meant just for a bit of banter between supporters before the game I still didn't see the issue. Anyway, thanks.

@GangStarr - I read the article briefly earlier, Forgot to post lol.

I reckon it looks like there's a good chance it'll end up happening. A Perth / W.A team would do wonders for the sport PLUS tourism. Bring it on.
