What about my warriors?

Mark Jackson, what a defensive mentality he is driving into the players minds, D Rose absolutley shut down yesterday when we beat the bulls and today no sign of melo and amare as we rally to beat the Knicks. Without curry aswell! I'm so use to watching us play run and gun this new thing they call 'defense' is nice to watch :P

I forked out the cash for League Pass this year. Although I do it every year so theres not many questions about the price for me.

Yeah, Celtics are being anything but impressive. They traded and rejigged so much as well. Lack of shaq i reckon :P

Their trades havent really hurt them but.
They essentially traded glen davis for brandon bass which was a win (and are paying him less so even better), but other than that its still rondo, ray, pierce (though hes been out with injury), garnett, and jermaine oneal. I hate too say it but they just cant compete with these super teams anymore. I still think they are a playoff team but without pierce they lack a real go-to scorer. Ray is good but not great at creating his own shot. KG has lost a step and cant score like he once could. Jermaine is pretty average nowadays. Rondo has stepped his game up but he can only carry them so far. They also have probably the least depth at the big positions of any team in the league (which is not good when your 2 starting bigs are injury prone).

Its funny because I hated the Lakers before this season but now with Kobe on my fantasy team I find myself cheering for them.

It's really nice to see what Mark Jackson has done with their defense. Watching the Bulls v. Warriors game was frustrating the hell out of me because I saw the Bulls getting so many turnovers. Most of them were stupid turnovers too, that the Bulls should not have got.

What players do you guys think that are the most underrated in the nba?
I think Luol Deng is. As he is a great defender and consistent with his shots but seems to never get that recognised from the rest of the league.

Definately Jarret Jack of the Hornets. Such a great player, was unfortunately shadowed by CP3 while he was in New Orleans, so now hopefully Jack can shine as starting 1

Deng is recognised, including by the media. Doesn't do enough offensively to make all-star teams and the like, but will end his career as a defensive powerhouse.

Bulls will always be turn-over prone as long as Rose continues to mature. He still makes pretty bad brain-fart passes and the like.

Monta Ellis should have been in the all-star game the last few years.
Andre Miller is an incredibly consistent and smart player, I feel that he is a bit overlooked at times.

Nah. Miller is just another run-of-the-mill.

Ellis' problem is that he plays for Golden State :S

Yea they don't put Ellis in the All Star game because the Warriors are always playing so poorly. However, Ellis and Steph Curry have a good chance of making the team this year though if we keep up the good play.

Miller is only recognized because he never gets injured and knows how to play his position. Never anything flashy with him.

Might be a bit bias here but Ryan Anderson is very underrated. Only began starting for the Magic this season and is the teams leading scorer. Think he had 20 pts again today, albeit against the nets.

Average.

There are a lot of mid-range, run of the mill players in the NBA. There is a very big gap between the top 10 and the next 10, and an even larger gap between the top 20 and the 20 after that.

90% of the league is made up of adequate players, players that contribute and do what they need to. Your team should be 95% of these players.

The other 10% are your LeBron's, Wade's etc.

Anderson is OK, but doesn't stand out. He's just another NBA player.

But LOL @ Sefolosha. The guy is a rich man's Keith Bogans. But he can't shoot. Just like Bogans. Serves Westbrook right for passing to him :P

Great defender though, Thabo. I wish Bulls hadn't traded him. He'd have made the Bulls a better team at the two-spot than Hamilton does.

Probably just the frustration getting to him. He had 7 turnovers, 2 games in a row. I don't even think he hit a field goal on that night. Just some free throws.

Need points off the bench though. Very important. Unless you have Wade, LeBron and Bosh, there is no need to have more than one 25+ppg shooter in your starting 5, unless they are ALL exceptionally good and can compliment any lack of bench scoring.

A lot of good players have started slowly. Not many players have had a good training camp. These first 10 games will essentially be training camp.

I dunno about that. Rose creates so much off the dribble that they really need a 2 guard that can make the open shot and Rip has proven over his career that he can shoot well. Bogans and Thabo are both better defensively but they are inefficient at shooting those jumpers when they're needed to.

Your right about Harden though. With Durant and Westbrook on the court there isnt really any need for another scorer. Much better served coming off the bench and taking over when the bench players are out there with him.

Also Westbrook missed all 13 of his shots or something in that game so Durant was understandably a little peeved with him.

Andre Miller has surprised me this year. He's pretty old but he's been getting it done off the bench for the Nuggets so far.
