OK guys so we have a little surprise for ya'all! Some awesome new badges that will appear under your avatar (like the PWNAGE and ADMIN badges). These badges are designated based on your time and participation on the site.

BADGES

There are six badges all up, with the highest and most prestigious badge still to be created (no one of the site is eligible for it yet).

You are designated a badge depending on two things: How long you have been on the site and how much kudos you have. You must fulfill both requirements for a badge to be eligible for it.

Furthermore, you must have not been banned for a certain amount of time to still be eligible for the badge. Please see the badge rules below.

How to get your badge

In order to receive a badge you are eligible for, please post BADGE ME, BABY!!! in this thread. Admin will then decide which badge you are eligible for based on your sign-up date and kudos total. You will only get a badge this way. You MUST post "BADGE ME, BABY" in this thread. They are not compulsory.

This thread is not a social or discussion thread. Only posts that are asking for a badge or are related to the badges are permitted. If you have any questions, please PM me or any other admin.

Badges will be assigned weekdays at 5pm.

NOTE: As of now, we're no longer combining different channel's badges. That is, if you had a badge from the PSP channel and a badge from the Wii channel combined, that will no longer be allowed. This will exclude anyone who already had their badges combined prior to this new rule

That's not what I mean, what's the point in staying here for more than 3 years, because whenever I post, no one knows that I've been here for that long and they assume that I'm a rookie because of my kudo count. That just seems unfair....

I've been here longer than you mirage, I bet you didn't even know that.

Snap. Im really looking forward to eventually getting the master fenix. Is there any chance of a better badge than that coming out in the future?

Alright, let me make this clear.

If you believe that a high kudos count is made up of 100% spam then you're pretty delusional. Take Lekkers for example, he is pretty reknown around the 360.mmgn group and has a higher kudos count than yourself. I wouldn't call his posts spam.

Secondly, these badges are rewarded to members who have been here for a set period of time AND are active.

I think you're trying to argue that you (or other members) should be rewarded for signing up and still "being active". There's no such thing, members are rewarded with these badges for regularly participating in forum discussions AND being here for a set period of time.

Take yourself and Rerun for example.

@Rerun has been here since Feb 24 2007.

@dagamster has been here since Mar 15 2007.

So that's a one month difference, yet Rerun has ~24k more kudos than yourself. Rerun will obviously be rewarded more-so because he contributes (or in your words, "spams") more than you.
